Hey Mark! How is life as a photographer these days?

I love being a photographer right now. It definitely has its ups and downs work-wise, but with all the new different film stocks coming out, creative cameras, film backs, and lenses, it’s an amazing time for photography.

What was your inspiration for this shoot? Did you plan your shots or go with the flow?

I’m always really motivated by my friends and their love of skateboarding. I’m definitely a go-with-the-flow kind of person—I rarely set things up. I like to document what’s happening naturally.

Have you shot with the Metropolis film before? If so, how did you like this new formula of this emulsion?

I’ve shot quite a bit of Metropolis before and I love the new formula. I think it’s more of the tone that I’m looking for in the film.

How did you play with the muted color palette of the LomoChrome Metropolis?

Well, I used to primarily shoot black-and-white and I think I look at it in a similar way. The film has really evolved my photography. I get a similar feel as black and white, but with color tones. That's how my brain sees it at least.

What was your favorite thing about shooting with the LomoChrome Metropolis?

To me, it gives off a wide range of emotions. I was really excited to see how the new formula would turn out, and I was not disappointed.

I used a Voigtlander Bessa R2m.

Who would you recommend Metropolis to and for what style of photography?

If you could reshoot this film, what would your next subjects be?

I’d like to try some portraits, and It would work beautifully for landscapes.

If you could summarize the LomoChrome Metropolis in three words, what would they be?

Beautiful, desaturated, gritty.

Anything else you would like to add?

I can’t wait to shoot more.

I have 3 rolls un-develloped in the fridge, I shoot it in a low light situation, which is indoor. Really hope to see the results.
