Depending on how it's used, the lighting situations, and other variables, LomoChrome film will deliver varying results. The same goes with any film, actually. But most especially with the LomoChrome film family, because of the color-shifting abilities of each film (Purple, Turquoise, and Metropolis). But one thing is certain with the LomoChrome Metropolis — it is never overpowering.
The Metropolis shines in its desaturated colors and muted tones, which gives photographs an overall timeless look that is charming yet subtle. No single color will fight for attention unless your subject wears a red element; the red will pop in contrast against the laid-back color palette.
These lovely photographs by @bastien_grivet showcase the capabilities of the film (rated at 100-400 ISO) in mixed lighting conditions. In the sun, the subjects softly glow, with balanced skin tones and soft colors. Shot indoors with a fair amount of light, the film delivers an elegant mood. In the last two photos, with a whisper of available light shining through, the mood shifts to a mysterious vibe. Overall, these photographs exude a poetic atmosphere!
