Hi Sabrina! Welcome to Lomography Magazine. Can you tell us about yourself and your work?

Hi, thanks so much for having me! I'm an editorial photographer and filmmaker based in Austin, Texas and mostly work with 35 mm film, which I develop at home.

Can you tell us about how you planned your shoot?

I love making mood boards for shoots so I can visualize the concepts. After making a board for this shoot I sent it to Olivia, the model, so that she could style her clothes and the set.

What was your first impression of the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System ?

I was so excited to have the opportunity to try these lenses. At first I wasn't sure how it would look, as the lenses are different than what I normally use, but I loved the look so much and would definitely recommend it.

How did the lens system fit with your style?

The lenses worked so well with my style because it adds another element of vintage touch to film photos. Pictures came out clear and stylized — I loved it!

What focal length did you use the most? Why?

I used the 80 mm focal length. I like having the option to get the full set in the shot. I thought it was great for both in the studio use and most likely outdoors.

Do you have any tips or tricks for the Neptune?

I would say have fun, get your manual settings down, and experiment!

If you were to shoot another set of photos, is there anything you would do differently?

I would love to try the lenses outside, and try out the aperture plates as well, to make the cool bokeh effects.

Do you have a favorite photo from the shoot? Is there a story behind it?

It's hard to choose! But I'd have to say the photos of her with the sheer fabric. I just love the angle the fabric makes, it's almost like a triangle; and then all the colors and textures in it.

Who would you recommend the Neptune system to?

Anyone who loves shooting film and anyone looking to add a different style to their work and try something new!

Anything else you'd like to share?

I'm so grateful to have gotten to try these lenses, and love anything Lomography! I'm grateful to have so many experimental types of film, cameras, and lenses available for artists.
