Berlin's Famous Photoautomat

3

Take a look at my first photos with the famous Photoautomat in Berlin!

A lot of people know them, saw them once on the streets or even took photos with them, together with friends or alone.

A friend of mine took some photos, when he visited me in Berlin. Afterwards I just had to take some photos as well. Two rounds: one at Kottbusser Tor next to the Supermarket Kaisers and another at Schlesische Straße Corner Falkensteinstraße. The principle is familiar to everyone, similar to the digital version: get in the photo booth, throw in 2 Euros, wait till the signal lamp lights up, smile and then wait for the flash!

Afterwards you just have to wait for 5 minutes and there you go: four classic black and white photos! ATTENTION: Not every photo booth has a signal lamp!

Here are the results:

You find these photo booths in London, Cologne, Florence, Hamburg, Dresden, Vienna, Leipzig, and most of them in Berlin. Here you will find maps with the locations of these photo booths in several cities. For more information about the Photoautomat check out this website!

Should you ever have the chance to take some pictures with one of these photo booths, then I recommend you do so – it’s definitely worth it!

I stayed right next to Moritzplatz last year and missed the photoautomat :(

I shall be seeking these out when I go back to Berlin later this year....

    Hallo 12_12,
ist denn heute noch bekannt, ob genau diese Automaten in Berlin noch im Einsatz sind?
Alle selber zu testen wird ganz schön kostspielig.
    Viele Grüße aus Berlin
