The Griswold Cotton Mill was built back in the late 1800's right on the canal in Turners. It went out of business years ago and through the 1970's and 80's there was a grubby discount store in there called Railroad Salvage. They went out of business in the late 80's and the place had sat empty for 15-20 years with a dead beat owner in another state who just let it fall apart. Now it's in really bad shape and almost completely fallen down. It's a hazard and all fenced off now...except I found a hole in the fence and was able to sneak in there a few weeks ago. I decided not to get too close though because it really is dangerous. Good place to christen the Lubi on her maiden voyage. :)
