Experiments With Adox CMS 20

Bought a roll of 120 Adox CMS because I wanted to try some low low low ASA film. I shot this at 50, and had it pulled, and the results were.... interesting. I don't know if it was my lab having the wrong chemicals or my underexposing, but it was certainly a learning experience.

Why on earth did you shoot it at ISO 50?

@alex34 it was the lowest ISO the Belair would shoot without relying on B mode & taking a light reading every time. Didn't think the film would have so little latitude.

@lokified Lomography perpetuates this tale that B&W has wide latitude, but it is rarely explained on this site what it actually means or just how specific it is. What it means is that B&W traditional formulas like slight UNDEREXPOSURE-shooting ISO 400 film at 200, 200 at 100 and so on. Overexposure became fashionable/possible with more modern formulas like Tri-X, but the older formulas won't handle it well (they'll just be black), and you would need to print your own to deal with it anyway. If in doubt consult a exposure chart

@lokified Sorry, should have said overexposure in relation to 400 at 200, bleaugh, need more coffee ;-), point is that 1 stop overexposure and normal development renders what I think are more natural results.
