Purple Woodpecker (Chernobyl #19)

The rocket defense system Duga III was sending out a High Frequency radio signal which was heard worldwide on radio-transmitters from 1976 until 1989. The random frequency changes disturbed signals of radio-stations and amateurs. The actual sound was like a rapid knock, like a woodpecker. There are a few urban myths about the signal. It was obviously part of the rocket surveillance system, but because of it's awkward sound people thought, that they are actually brainwashed through it. The signal returned in 2013, Russia started a new radar system, what are they planning with it?
