on the streets of truro with charliedontsurf and a nikon f

The first time I've dedicated an entire roll of film to street photography . I used my 1959 nikon f with a waist level finder and a tokina 28mm wide-angle lens . I pushed the kentmere 400 to my usual 1600 iso , set the aperture to f16 and zone focused so that everything was in focus from 3ft to infinity . No meter on this camera so everything was guessed using the sunny 16 principles . The resulting grain was bigger than i expected after seeing the results of my last roll of pushed kentmere , i put this down to the fact that that roll was metered . Anyway these are the best of the bunch . Its an exciting genre to explore , a lot harder than it looks and you need nerves of steel to get close , i missed a lot of good shots by being too respectful ! I will have another go soon maybe in better light shooting at box speed .

@heliosstardeath @captainfantastic The shop hasn't been there that long , it caught my attention and then I saw her inside , interesting looking lady , I gave her the charm , I think she was flattered ! I remember her words 'what you want to take a picture of me ? ' anyway a lovely moment caught forever on lovely grainy film . I think I will make a print for her .
