I've started to shoot kodak 522 double x again. The first time i shot it i wasn't very happy with it, a combination of not understanding what makes this film sing and a poor choice of developer (rodinal). Now i'm souping it in xtol and the results are very encouraging, I also experimented with split grade printing on a couple of these shots for the first time. I'm selling this film in 24 exposure rolls if anyone wants to try some, message me if you're interested.

What you have to bear in mind with xx is that it doesn't have a lot of latitude, half a stop can make a lot of difference. It's designed to be developed in a solvent developer, D96 is the standard but D76/ID11 work just as well.

@malcolm_tremain yes, I realised that first round, especially over exposure, the highlights can look awful. I actually had quite a few nice shots from this roll but I haven't published them yet, I might put some of them on the other site if can get around to printing them:)
