What is the LomoGraflok 4×5 Instant back?
The LomoGraflok 4×5 Instant Back is the world’s first Instant Back for 4×5 cameras. It attaches to the back of 4×5 cameras, allowing you to shoot Fujifilm Instax Wide film using large format cameras.
The LomoGraflok attaches to the camera using the common graflok system that most 4×5 cameras are equipped with. The graflok mechanism allows an accessory back to be mounted to large format cameras and latched into place by two metal sliders, as seen in the images below.
This allows you to expand the possibilities of instant photography. With the LomoGraflok Instant Back you can create incredibly sharp images with shallow depth of field, and still maintain the fun of shooting instant film. The LomoGraflok uses Instax Wide film, which is the largest instant film format currently on the market, making it perfectly suited for large format photography.
The LomoGraflok Instant Back also gives you more options for what you can do with large format photography, and is a more affordable alternative to shooting large format sheet film. This is especially helpful for learning the ropes of your large format camera or testing a particular photo situation and setup, before loading your large format sheet films.
