   @superlighter si preferì costruire ex-novo una nuova Poggioreale a poche centinaia di metri da quella crollata, suppongo che i superstiti finirono lì. Tra l'altro, a quanto pare furono utilizzate tecnologie all'avanguardia per costruire il nuovo paese. Il motivo fu semplicemente di natura economica, conveniva costruire un paese completamente nuovo piuttosto che recuperare il vecchio. Stessa sorte toccò a Gibellina, sempre nella valle del Belice. Per quanto riguarda la giacenza dei ruderi ancora lì il motivo penso che siano ancora una volta i soldi, rimuovere tutto costa! Inoltre il sito viene monitorato e usato per studi sul dissesto idrogeologico dal Centro Regionale per il Restauro. Ma se vai, e hai la fortuna di essere da solo (senza altri visitatori in giro per il paese), la sensazione è davvero inquietante, cogli la vita che si è fermata all'improvviso, sembra di stare su un set cinematografico ... ma non lo è. Scomparirà col tempo, tra un altro piccolo crollo e l'altro, e la natura che si sta riappropriando dei suoi spazi (alcune strade non sono più praticabili, la vegetazione vi è cresciuta alta e folta) ...
