headed to the baltic sea
shared by andrejrusskovskij on 2013-07-04after some days of drama with some friends in berlin, me and Isabel decided to leave the city for a few days in order to clear up our minds (and souls) by enjoying the breathtaking and unique shores of the ostsee. as soon as we got there it was pouring and so we were somehow forced to visit the only indoor place in the area: a butterfly farm, which turned out to be pretty cool in the end. luckily for us the day after proved to be totally sunny and, as far as it's possible for this place, warm. we found ourselves enjoying simple things like feeling the sun on our skin and the wind blowing through our hair and eventually we managed to keep the drama away for the whole day.

The Land of upright People
shared by vicuna on 2013-11-23That's the meaning of the name "Burkina Faso". And all the people I met there were really proud to be burkinabe. And in front of the camera, they didn't play anything, but expressed soemthing very strong and upright, especially the kids. I'd like to thank all these people for their kindness, hospitality and for the portraits I could shoot of them.

I BABY SAT HER WHEN SHE WAS STILL A BABY! NOW…
shared by blueskyandhardrock on 2013-03-11my cousin, a figure skater who practices on the ice and works-out everyday, spent half of the day running on the beach during her shoot... poor old me, who barely works out, had to chase her around on sand and sharp rocks with three cameras while the sun was beating down on us... i got home and had to pass out from exhaustion... the results aren't as sharp since i barely had time to adjust the focus but i like the results anyway!

the liquid island
shared by wil6ka on 2013-11-25In August I was visiting Hooge in the north of Germany. It's a Hallig, which is an island amde of sand. It's all surrounded by the Wattenmeer, an UNESCO world heritage site. During the tides the water flows entirely away and leaves a whole microcosm of birds, fish, worms, crustaceans and other small animals. The grounds is slimey and looks like liquid soil. quite an experience underneath your feet... http://www.lomography.de/magazine/locations/2014/02/11/hallig-hooge-eine-insel-aus-sand

Night Shooting with @troch and @rcwater
shared by mafiosa on 2013-11-18I was recently in Vancouver for work and was fortunate to have a chance to re-connect with the wonderful @troch and meet the talented @rcwater. Since it was a work trip, I didn't expect that I would have time to do any shooting, so I was very unprepared - I only took my LC-A+ and one roll of film with me!! Lesson learned - from now on I will always travel with at least 2 cameras and at least 10 rolls of film. @rcwater: thank you greatly for your generous gift of the rare CineStill Tungsten film!! @troch: thank you for the Fomapan film and the beautiful Troch original card!!

なないろジーン - psyche temple
shared by hodachrome on 2013-11-26From ”filmsoup-swap” project with my favorite photographer fotobes. He shot first in UK, and then I shot in Japan (at Kakuouzan Temple, Nagoya). After finishing the roll I ”cooked” the film. I put the dissolved neutral detergent onto all around the film in a darkroom. Then rewind the film and heated the canister in boiled water for 5 minutes. After I dried the film I got it developed. Came out psychedelic image. We don’t discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise. More about this technique http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/02/27/lets-cook-the-film-the-recipe-of-film-soup. And check out fotobes’s album from the same project. http://www.lomography.com/homes/fotobes/albums/1995715-lc-a-plus-film-soup-swap-with-hodachrome

湖面歩行 walking on water
shared by fotobes on 2013-11-26hodachrome and I have recently completed two film soup swaps.. One roll started off in UK, and ended up in Japan and on finishing the roll, Hodaka cooked the film using this recipe here: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/02/27/lets-cook-the-film-the-recipe-of-film-soup The other roll started off in Japan and ended up with me in the UK.. On completing the roll, I mixed together some boiled water with silica gel and washing detergent, and left it to cool a little. Then I went into my make-shift darkroom and pulled out the film from the canister. Next I flicked and dabbed the soup onto the exposed film. I waited for a few minutes and then rewound the film into the canister. Afterwards I went to the kitchen and dropped the film into just-boiled water, and after 5 minutes I transferred it into cold water for a minute. Then back in the darkroom I pulled the film out from the canister again and dried it with a hairdryer, and when done I rewound the film. The film was then developed at Asda, and scanned at The Vault in Brighton. We do not discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise..
