Lukasz Wierzbowksi: Discovering New Faces and Places
5 Share TweetWhen Lukasz Wierzbowksi starts shooting, it’s a journey for both him and his models. He plays with the environment, getting his subjects to interact with their surroundings. While the Polish photographer usually shoots 35mm film but for us, he swapped his usual gear for some fun with the Lomo'Instant Wide.
On the Lomo’Instant Wide: “It’s a great tool to experiment and simply have fun with. It allows you to experience how each frame comes to life, right in front of your eyes. It’s an instant physical proof of a situation that happened just moments ago, which is quite different from what I’m used but I absolutely adore it.”
About the idea behind the photographs: “I decided to take the Lomo’Instant Wide on one of my daily escapades in the Polish town of Wroclaw It gave me an opportunity to meet up with some of my friends who I hadn’t seen in a while and explore a few places I love but hadn’t visited in ages. The camera put a new perspective on the places since it required me to approach them differently. It made me feel like I was discovering completely new faces of Wroclaw, the city that I know like the back of my hand.”
