First Impressions of the Lomo'instant Automat: Bea Dewhurst

Bea Dewhurst is our newest member of the Lomography UK team and we have been testing out her photography skills with a variety of cameras and lenses. We lent her the Lomo'instant Automat and a selection of film which accompanied her on a few nights out in London.

Tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is Bea & I look after the wholesale accounts for the UK & Ireland here at LomographyUK. I'm from South East London. I love cats.

How did you get on shooting with the Lomo’instant Automat?

It was a dream! I have shot with other instants in the past, but this is much more receptive. I was able to just point & shoot which was great! I was a little apprehensive as I was shooting in rather dark situations too - but I was really pleased with the results.

What did you choose to shoot?

I took the LIA to see Happy Meals LTD at Rough Trade East & to the Junk Club reunion in South End.

Any shooting tips for us?

Just roll with it! There were some shots I was worried where the focusing was off, but they actually came out really well! This is such a fun bit of kit!
