Salinas is a small Spanish beach town, situated on the northeast Atlantic. Travelling to the north of Spain in September can be risky due to its unpredictable weather. And there it was: The weather forecast showed rain for the entire week. But it was not about the weather. It was about escaping the fast rhythm of the city and finally getting some time away from routine.

It was cold. Cold. I hadn’t felt that in months. It got right under my skin. For five days the rain just did not stop. The humidity was crawling under my clothes and onto my skin, giving me the chills. The beach was deserted. The ocean was powerful. The landscape was breathtaking. The air, salty and fresh. The rainfall just created this indescribable calmness and created these incredible colors. All of a sudden the rain stopped. A mysterious mist settled and the clouds slowly dissolved.
