Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle Workshops: Recap

At the beginning of June, the Lomography UK team left London to head north for a series of workshops at three venues, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Henry Moore Institute and Hepworth Gallery. The workshops covered the Lomo'Instant Wide and Fisheye 2 cameras.

On Friday we visited The Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield for two fully booked workshops. We showed everyone all the tips and tricks of shooting with the cameras and they explored the gallery spaces and beautiful surroundings.

Everyone experimented with double exposures, floor shots and some people even tried out the close-up lenses and the remote control. We were very impressed. At the end of the Lomo'Instant Wide workshop, everyone laid out their shots on the table for us to look at and admire.

On Saturday we visited the Henry Moore Institute, a gallery dedicated to celebrating sculpture. We showed them the jumping trick you can do with the remote control and sent them out into the sunshine to shoot! Everyone on the workshop got some really great shots on the day and we couldn't help but snap them along the way.

Below are a few of the workshop participants getting creative and enjoying the sunshine at the Henry Moore Institute.

On Sunday we finished at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It was a beautiful, sunny day and everyone's Fisheye photos came out with a stunning blue/green hue. Some participants really experimented with double exposures and got some interesting selfies in the reflective sculptures. Someone even brought along a skeleton as a prop, which made for some hilarious results.

We think you'll agree that sculptures and the sunshine looks pretty great through a Fisheye 2 Lens and we can't wait to plan our next adventure outside of London!
