i'm not really a fan of grain...but these are
    pretty interesting...
what was the iso for the film?

Thanks @shariff. This is actually iso200. I found the loom xpro films all to be this grainy...not a huge fan but for 110 films this is the only slides one I can find

wow. for an iso 200 film, its very grainy indeed...
hmm i dono... it does produce a certain quality to the photos tho.
    not to everyones liking...
but i suppose its pretty all right...
    :)

@shariff I know...its strange for iso200 for it to be this grainy...but there are times it does look pretty cool like those photos I took of Sydney's Harbour bridge..it made it look like a painting! hehehe...anyways I am more of a fan of the kodak elite chrome

you mean your "jet setting in sydney" albums? i just looked at them. pretty nice! so those are kodak elite chromes? its slide ain't it? cross processed?

if it was cross processed, i'd have to say its a little different that what i expect the colour and tones to be in general. though i mean this in a good way.

i used to like cross processing but i think it must have just been a phase for me. i don't quite fancy the over saturation of colours anymore...especially the yellows! i find that kinda awful now actually.

i'm pretty impressed with your jet setting in sydnet album really.
the colours are indeed saturated, but in a pleasant way.
if you were indeed using kodak elite chrome (wasn't stated there), then i suppose cross processing would result in that real nice blue-ish tint... which i feel really accentuates the blues of the water and the sky.
    very nice!

i'd still say away from those ugly over saturated yellows however... i think kodak ektachrome is the one, when cross processed, would give that effect...then again, i could be wrong :S

    :D

do you think the grains from your photo could perhaps be idiosyncratic to just 110 film format?
pretty darn grainy for 200asa. i dunno. just guessing.hehe :P

    @shariff
It was also grainy on my be lair. But not so much for my LCA

Anyways thanks for your kind words.
Most of my sydney albums are shot in slides films...i guess I am into the crossed processing stage now! Love the saturation. I basically shot them in a variety of slides ranging from kodak elitechome, fuji provia and velvia and even tungsten and sensia.
I like how the fuji films bring out the more greenish tints in some of my shots too. As i took over 30 rolls of films...i cannot recall what I used...hahaha.

At the moment...i am into slides and rich colours.

    pleasure.

lol. interesting! hmm... the grains would usually show when the photos more on the underexposed side of the spectrum right? i dono. thats usually the case for me, i find.

its funny how we go through phases.... i used to avoid colour negatives cos i though they're really boring... but now i see it as a challenge to try taking pretty scenes with just basic colour negatives...

though i've kinda just loaded a roll of fujichrome T64 tungsten film into my la sardina this morning. first time trying out tungsten film. my other cameras that i'm currently using, all have CNs.

i've just sent 2 rolls of colour negatives, 135 and 120, for developing this morning. did some low light long exposures, some rat-view scenes, and pinholes! some cant wait to see the results tomorrow!

Yup...usu more on the underexposed side.

I still shoot with CN but am using more Kodak gold 200 cos I like the colours better. Not really a fan of the Lomo CN films. I do like the Tudor CN and the Natura tho...very nice

I used the tungsten with my sprocket rocket and loved the effect...need good strong sun tho.

Oh interesting...havent really done any pinhole as yet... the 120 camera i really like is my belair...
Overall, i have been experimenting with diff cameras and film types to see what I like.

Cant wait to see your photos

    lolol.... "experimenting with different cameras"...
oh yes i can see you have quite a number to choose from... lolol.

oh, one of my colour negs that i sent for developing this morning happened to be kodak gold.
i used to think its some inferior cheepo film, but i do beg to differ now...
for the price, its pretty good i suppose.
anyways, its my first time taking low light/long exposures with the kodak gold 200 (on my holga 135bc tlr), so i'm pretty psyched about that!

the other one that i sent in was a kodak ektar 100. first time using this as well.

oh, whats up with the lomo cn films? i thought the 100ASAs look pretty good...at least from the galleries... i take quite a bit of long exposures, and was contemplating on trying out the lomo cn 800asa... but was quite disappointed at the photos i see in the gallery. a bit too much grain for my liking -which is typical of faster films of course. though, i've gotta say, the ones where its properly exposed and with indicernable grain...i find that pretty all right...

i started doing pinholes cos i thought the process of taking photos in the daytime is just too hasty for my liking. i'm used to taking my time composing (as best as i can, which can be tough with the unpredictability of film and all the parallex error and stuff) and thinking about the available light and all that. so yea, thats how i got into pinhole. plus, the suspense of how the pinhole photos will turn out is also somewhat of an added bonus for me :D

yes! i'll surely tell you about it once i get the photos back! yay!

Hahaha I do have too many cameras!! A happy problem...and I am also a film hoarder...my bar fridge is filled with lots of films.
The lomo Cn 800 is fine when i use it for my spinner. it is one of the cheapest ISO800 films around
But that is about it...but if you are doing more long exposures...i find the CN and lower iso films quite ok...i shoot mostly in the day so i like the slides.
Got a bunch of films (Kodak port and Fuji Fortnia i am going to test out one of these days...need to go on a lomowalk soon...its been a while
Oh the natura 1600 is quite a nice high speed film
