Hard to believe, but true. This film was more then 6 months in the camera. It seems from April until November I haven't used the LC-A+ that much. it's stretching over three countries and features Satomi in L.A and in Nuremberg, where we met Dirk and Masha....

  • X-Pro Slide and a Bride

    shared by kibs on 2013-02-08

I loaded some Lomo X-Pro Slide 200 in my Diana and set off for the Botanical Gardens, sure that by x-pro'ing the roll I'd get some color out of the colorless garden in winter. After wandering around the garden I framed a picture of the water fountain feature and noticed a Bride having her pictures taken. Holding a camera can make you bold so I hurried up to where she was posing and asked if I could take her picture, which she very kindly obliged. I X-Pro'd the roll anyway at the risk of discoloring her features but kinda like the way her picture turned out.

It wasn't a completely cloudless day so I shot this 400 film at 200 iso. It lightened the color up but I'm still working on zone focusing. I guess you can tell I love tulips!

Took my Lubi to the Dallas Arboretum during the tulip blooming explosion. It was an amazing site, tulip fields that go on as long as the eye can see. I took this album down to ground level to see what a tulip would see.

This is an Anna's hummingbird that torments my cats every morning and night. She'll hover just out of reach zipping back and forth and then go feed on the flowers. Beautiful little thing. I can only get her when she rests, here she's sitting on a cactus flower, and I used a flash which way overexposed it but I like the silhouette.

I opened the back of my new AE only to find I'd already put in film! Takes a while to learn new machines, but I love the effect. I might try it more often.
