Petzval Lomographer of the Week: pearlgirl77

We turn the spotlight to one of our talented community members from Landshut, Germany; one who exhibited mastery of the Petzval Lens.

Anyone who has gotten hold of the New Petzval 85 lens was probably quick to aim for photographs with swirly bokeh. After all, it’s the defining characteristic of this lens that makes it coveted gear.

Lomographer pearlgirl77 is no stranger to the Petzval’s unique charm. In her recent albums, she creatively incorporates its signature bokeh in her portraits and still life photographs.

She also amazes us with these tack sharp images that go beyond the usual blurry background we see in Petzval photographs.

pearlgirl77 took these photographs using the New Petzval 85 Art lens mounted on a Canon EOS 33.
