Pictures That Shaped Lomography 2013

Who would've known that four years would go by this quickly. A few Lomography projects are already reaching their toddler age this year! In a world of smartphones and photo sharing apps, we just felt that it was the right time to release the Smartphone Film Scanner to democratize film scanning. Next was the release of the fan favorite, LomoChrome Purple Film and Konstruktor DIY camera!

But that's not all that happened in 2013, for it was the year when we reinvented the legendary Petzval Lens by unveiling our New Petzval Art Lens that brought old world imagery into modern age photography. Everyone was seeing outrageous bokeh and a new kind of portrait aesthetic emerged.

It was indeed a busy year for Lomography but what about global events? Ah, that's right, 2013 was also home to these events:

• Musicians like P!nk, Macklemore, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez made noise in the global music scene
• Miley Cyrus' twerking performance at the MTV Video Music Awards rocked and shocked audiences
• Television entered the new age of fan following with the release of The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Girls on top of many shows.
