Taiwan Photographer Jerry's First Impressions of Our New LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 Film

Taiwanese photographer Jerry once told us that "photography is probably one of the best things in life." He insists on shooting film at almost every moment in his life because he loves it so much. This time we invited him to try out our new LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 film. From portraits to street photography, Jerry shares his photos and his feelings on this special new formula. Let's check it out!

Hi Jerry, firstly which camera did you use with the LomoChrome Color '92?

I used a Contax N1 with a 50 mm 1.4 lens.

Can you tell us about the concept for this shoot?

The shoot was quite smooth. Although the weather was a bit cloudy, the film with ISO 400 was suitable to use. The only thing that needed attention was to keep my hands steady when taking photos indoors! I had a good co-operation with the model and everything was good. It was a very happy and rare experience.

How would you describe the look of this film?

I am very satisfied with this film! I like it very much! I like films with some yellowish effects, and this roll just happens to have it, and looks very retro. I think it can fully present the old city.

What do you think is the perfect situation for shooting this film?

Based on the above question, I think places with historical stories are all suitable for using this film. The photos will look vintage.

How do you feel about a new color negative film being on the market?

When I knew that Lomography was going to launch a new color negative film, I was looking forward to it. Firstly, I like Lomography’s color negative film series very much. Secondly, there are fewer negative film factories willing to produce or expand the production line of color negative film.

Do you have a favorite photo taken with this film? If so, why?

I like this photo (below) the most! The location is in the old town of Taipei, Taiwan, which is a unique street next to Longshan Temple. Generally speaking, it is very retro. The outfit of the model was very in line with the local appearance. The new LomoChrome Color ISO 400 film added a vintage effect to the photo.

What are your hopes for the future of film photography?

I hope more people will devote themselves to film photography. Through various film communities and product consumption, the film manufacturers will know that there is still a market for film, and make this market grow continually. Only in this way will they have the opportunity to continue to produce, or to expand new production lines.
