Hong Kong Photographer Maurice Lai's First Impression of Our LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 (35 mm) Film

Hong Kong photographer Maurice Lai took advantage of the time he had after lunch one day to walk around the industrial buildings and streets in his working area in Kwun Tong. While taking photos, he found a new look of a familiar place. In this interview Maurice shares his feelings and experience of using this new LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 (35 mm) Film. Hi Maurice, can you tell us about the concept for this shoot?

This time the shoot was more casual. I chose to walk around the industrial buildings and streets in Kwun Tong after lunch. I unexpectedly discovered a new look of this place.

Which camera did you use with this film?

Leica M5 with a 35 mm summicron lens.

How would you describe the look of the LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400 Film?

Most of the time I will choose films according to what i'm photographing. This new LomoChrome Color '92 film is unique and gives me new possibilities in creation.

What do you think is the perfect situation for shooting this film?

I think this film is very suitable for capturing the city and urban views. The combination of cool colors and low saturation can bring out a special atmosphere.

How do you feel about a new color negative film being on the market?

It is very encouraging for film photography enthusiasts to see a new film formula when there are fewer types of film in the markets nowadays.

Do you have a favorite photo taken with this film?

I think this photo (below) can represent the characteristics of this new formula. The photo composition and unique effects of this new formula helps to enrich the content of the photos.

What are your hopes for the future of film photography?

I hope that the film photography community can continue to grow, and that there will be more types of film in the market!
