When did you start taking photographs? And how did you get into analogue photography?

The first time I learned photography was when I was in junior high school. At that time I only had my phone to take pictures. The first time I held a camera was when my parents bought a pocket camera. After a few years I tried film photography for the very first time. When Covid hit I tried to find a new hobby, and one that gained my attention was film cameras. From that point I tried to collect them. After getting my first film camera I knew that each roll had its owns characteristics. They created a very unique results. That's why I'm interested in film photography. By using film I can also learn more about photography. The very first photos I took on film were horrible, because the results could not be seen directly from the camera like a digital camera. Because of that, we need to consider and to know the exact camera settings in order to get the best exposure.

We saw your recent Korea shots and we absolutely love them! We hope you will always bring our ActionSampler with you for your future travels?

Thank you, I’m glad you love my photo results. Yes of course, I will bring it on my next trip. Actually this is my first time using the ActionSampler and it was really fun! I think this camera is unique because of the four lenses and creates four pictures at the same time.

How did you like shooting with the ActionSampler?

I love that the camera has four lenses. It captures the essence of the surroundings, and from those picture the photos seem like they're moving because it captures four different frames.

Any tips for people using the ActionSampler or more experimental types of film camera for the first time?

Good lighting. All film cameras need good lighting, so that the results can be at their best. For newcomers here’s a tip for you – if you can not afford expensive lighting, try to shoot your photo during daylight to have the same results.

The four lens feature that can create a unique photo of four photos in one frame. Also the picture can turn into an animated GIF.

How do you choose the perfect situation for shooting this camera?

The results from the camera are at their best when I capture a photo during the middle of the day because it has a good lighting that produce clear photos.

What’s coming up next for you? Any new projects in the works?

For now I’m still planning my next trip for a new project. In the near future I would like to display my results at a coffee shop nearby. I hope people will love the photos and be inspired by them.

Any message to other Indonesian Lomographers out there?

I know new things can be scary at time, but if you try to do those things, it can help you gain new experiences that can be exciting and fun.
