Fabulous old photo from 1925 copied onto acetate negative and used on twice coated watercolour paper for 8 minutes. This is a very important photo showing a whole Nottinghamshire colliery village turning out in their Sunday best for a train trip to the seaside paid for by the colliery company. This train journey would be impossible for most of the miners to afford at that point in time. I love the whole feel to this and it is a very important piece of social history! Most likely the original photo was a contact print of 116 size and it was a very good quality image given it is 99 years old!
