House of the Rising Sun
shared by mike1allison on 2021-02-16Experiment with Kodak 2383. Shot a roll of Kodak 2383 print film ISO approx 1.6 at ISO 50 to see what kind of artistic Shtuff arose. 2383 is color print film designed to print motion picture negatives or digital movies on for a final film print. Never designed to see the light of day or hang out in a camera. There is some discussion that it can be used in daylight to film "night" scenes. The outcome is naturally blue toned. There is some limited room to maneuver, though., These are scanned with canon 9000 and vuescan. Could be better ways to scan? Negatives are dense so I might be missing some richness, but there you go... Developed in Bill Williams C-41 one shot developer modified to ECP-2 with .295 grams of CD-2 in place of the CD-4. Possibly an interesting starting point.... <a href="http://caffenolcolor.blogspot.com/2017/10/bill-williams-cd4-color-film-developer.html" >caffenolcolor.blogspot.com/2017/10/bill-williams-cd4-color</a> «Water 500ml @ approx 112 degrees Sodium Sulfite (A) .5 grams (approx 1/8 tsp) CD2 .295 grams Potassium Iodide 1.8 milligrams Potassium Bromide .25 grams Potassium Carbonate (A) 4 grams (approx 2/3 tsp)» 8 minutes at 105 degrees. finished in ECP-2D process: Stop bath SB-14 for 30 seconds Water rinse Potassium Ferricyanide Bleach 6 minutes Water wash Fixed in sodium thiosulfate and ammonium sulfate non acidic fixer ( Sodium thiosulfate 200g ammonium sulfate 107g) for 6 minutes
