It is the first year we decided to make Kimchi from scratch. We sowed oriental cabbage and radish seeds in the field. They grew up well and it’s time for harvest!!!!

Who doesn’t need their own garden? We love our garden so much!!! For the whole year, we got cucumber, tomato, zucchini, lettuce and much more from here! We believe fresh vegetables will make us healthier!!

My mom was super!! She was able to multitask to make kimchi. We say good taste comes from mom’s hand. I bet this kimchi will be really yummy!!Before we start, we’d better wash out each ingredients. This is a bit hard part since veggies got covered with dirt. Thankfully, it was sunny hot day to use cold water in the outside.

While mom was washing up cabbage, my dad was slicing radishes. I guess he probably got sore shoulder after slicing 30 radishes even though he said his shoulders were fine. What a man!!! We don’t waste leftover radish leaves. Once they got dried by sun, they will be a great side dish and tea. Radish leaf has lots of Vitamin and iron. With my dad, even a little tiny leaf has to hang in a row properly. He was checking over and over to make sure the leaves looked nice. It was fun to make Kimch with family!!
In Korea, we call autumn Kimch season. It is a family gathering time. Making kimchi together is another happy memory of family!!!!!
