LomoAmigo Victoria Herrera Sees Herself in the Diana F+

Multi-talented Victoria Herrera is not only a model with distinctive character, she is a TV host, former Radio DJ, freelance writer, and book author of Unscripted. Vicky is obsessed with documenting every moment of her life. This time, she invited her photographer friend to capture her best with Diana F+.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi, I’m Victoria. I work as a model, host, and writer. I’ll be here in Singapore for a while, but I’m so hooked on traveling. Photos are a way for me to document my life. I am obsessed with snapping every memory.

Describe your first memory as if it were a still photograph.

Afternoon sunlight beaming through a frosted window.

What’s one quality you wish you had?

To take more risks. People say that I already take a lot of risks in life, but I feel like I can be much braver.

Who or what was the first thing you fell in love with?

I think I fell in love with stories. I fell in love with dreaming and imagining things. I think I still do that everyday and I try to make these dreams as real as they can be.

If you could hang a camera around anyone’s neck, who would that be?

A mermaid’s. I think the ocean is very beautiful to photograph, and it’s also very vast. We don’t even know all the mysteries surrounding the ocean. A mermaid’s point of view would be awesome.

Where’s your secret garden, where you can escape to?

My bathtub. I like to relax and unwind. Soaking myself in water helps me forget about the world for a bit. Speaking of water again, I would have to say my second favorite place to escape to is Boracay Island in the Philippines.

What famous person (dead or alive) would you like to have a drink with?

Karl Lagerfeld

If you could no longer see, what’s one image you’d like burned in your mind?

Oh this is a tough one! Can I cheat and put together a collage? I want photos of my family, friends, my boyfriend, and images of the sunset in Boracay.

What was your most magical moment in your modeling, hosting, or writing work?

I would have to say being in the “Flow” where everything around me disappears and I am 100% in the moment. I love that feeling. I wasn’t able to get that before because I would be so self-conscious. Now I feel like I’ve transcended that and completely absorb my work from the heart.

It was great. I think I need more practice. I asked my friend to take some photos when I was shooting for something else. Hope it worked out well!
