How long have you been a Lomographer?
Actually I started shooting with my first Lomography camera (Holga 120) around 2007. I took my first roll and, as normally happens, the photos were quite rubbish. After that I left that camera behind and I kept going around with my digital one (BIG mistake).
The Summer of 2010 my Lomo-life started again when I bought my Actionsampler. These shots were lovely so I started using film more and more. Now I’ve got around 10 film cameras and I’ve taken more than 2000 photos already.

What’s in your kit bag?
That will sound typical but I am always carrying one of my Lomography cameras and one spare film (even if I am going to buy milk, you never know what will happen). Usually I take my Lc-a+ and Diana Flash. In my opinion, Lc-a+ is THE BEST film camera ever! Is small, quite light and really easy to use. Sometimes I take some accessories as well like the Splitzer or Tunnel vision lens but, I think the Lc-a+ itself is enough if you want to play around and experiment.

In my own words….
Lomography is definitely a new way to perceive life. Once you start shooting film the way you see what is around you changes. You don’t see people, you see portraits. You don’t see flowers, you see a macro shot. You don’t see clouds and grass, you see a double-exposed shot…
What I love about analogue photography is that no-instantaneous result. You take photos and sometimes you forget about them till you develop the film. And then, there it is! Moreover, analogue photography is the most pure way of doing photography: You, your camera and the film.

I love the Lomography community because everybody shares their work, so you can learn a lot from someone else’s work. You can be inspired by awesome photos, learn tips, discover new places and even make good friends. We mustn’t forget you can win awesome prizes as well!!

What I would like to do more often are film-swaps. I did it five times and I am really proud of those photos. For anyone who doesn’t know what is a film-swap I will quickly explain: You take photos till you finish the film and you rewind it (not completely to the end). Then you send it to one Lomographer you had already contacted so he/she can take photos again with the same film. The result is unexpected double exposed photos where you both combined your shots.
