Pictures That Shaped Lomography 2014

4

Memories can come from virtually anything -- from an old greeting card to a simple photograph, these things can remind us of many events that took place in the distant or not-so-distant past. Take instant photos for example, Lomography released its first dedicated and totally creative instant camera in 2014, the Lomo'Instant! It was the start of the Lomography instant camera era and was then followed by the Lomo'Instant Wide, Lomo'Instant Automat, and Lomo'Instant Automat Glass in the next years.

But that's not the only stellar thing that happened at Lomography. The LomoChrome Turquoise 35mm, Lomography Cine200 Tungsten film, and the majestic New Russar+ Art Lens made a lot of Lomographers all around the world jump for joy.

We're not done just yet. Here are some events that made that year equally memorable:

  • Crime drama TV series True Detective hits the screen and introduces us to Rust Cohle and Martin Hart. (We are compelled to let you know about their cool introduction that used awesome double exposure effects)
  • Jay Leno left The Tonight Show and passed on the torch to actor and funnyman Jimmy Fallon
  • The 14th Dalai Lama and then US president Barack Obama meet for the first time
  • Student and human rights activist Malala Yousafzai is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
