Emotional Spectrum in Pictures: Framing "Fear"

To be a photographer, you have to capture the unseen and the abstract. And when you do, you grow one step empathetic. Here we review Lomographs that straight out speak of human emotions, one befitting for our Halloween special: the look of fear.

Firstly, what are you afraid of? Are you afraid of the dark? Or of hundreds of feet above the ground? Do you fear closed, minimal spaces? How about monsters from the folklore, or, worse, clowns (they do exist after all)?

It's quite interesting, that whatever we fear of, we all share the same reactions, behaviors, instincts as if we become a singular, involuntary pulse. Your palms and forehead sweat, your cheeks turn ruddy, your pores and hairs stand up, you feel dizzy, surreal, but now is not the time for weakness, every nerve in you is on guard.

But there's more. Your breath is short, your heart gallops rapidly as if it's to come out of the ribcage, the butterflies in your stomach fluttering around, and so, you try to gasp for air despite a locked jaw. Lips parted, and mouth gaping along with those tensed shoulders of yours.

And when it happens, the thing or moment you fear the most, your eyes widen... and there it goes, fear and surprise in your eyes.

Somewhere not too far, there is the ear-shattering scream.
