Vietnam is home to many beautiful sights and culture so rich that it's kept the fascination of travelers all over the world. And being a country located in Asia, one of the best ways to get around is by motorcycle. You won't beat the experience of seeing the countryside on a motorbike. Imagine cutting through the busy streets on a low displacement moped, burning through roll after roll of film with nothing on your mind but where to go next. Sounds fun, right? It is! Just take a look at this photo gallery by veteran Lomographer @ahollond.
All of these photos were taken by Anne during a two-week tour around Northern Vietnam with her 18-year-old son. Sitting at the back of a second-hand motorcycle, Anne captured all of these interesting sights with her Diana Baby 110. We can almost imagine Anne, one hand with the Diana Baby and the other holding on the grab handle of the bike as they navigate through the streets of Vietnam. What a dream!
According to Anne, one of the most unforgettable moments during her time in Vietnam actually happened when she brought out her Lomo'Instant Square. Being a fan of instant photography, Anne has a habit of sharing the magic of instant prints. As soon as she started photographing and handing them out, people flocked to her and asked her to take their photo. She fondly tells the story of how the locals called her "Mama" while she took their photos. Was the experience worth the five packs of instant film she went through? Definitely.
We would like to thank Anne for letting us share her images and story! You can find more photos from her tour in this album.
