Madam JoJo's

Move your body, shake your booty!

This was once a sleazy Soho strip club, as the name suggests, and it really shows. Deep reds are the dominant colour, with mirrors, booths and velvet curtains creating an atmosphere of sleazy glamour.

Tuesday is for WHITE HEAT! Best new band, from 20:00 – about 22:30, then DJs (newest Electro, Techno, Indie and whatever else floats their boats). Night for seeing the live bands’ performances and enjoying the club’s fantastic PA system.

Wednesday is for TRANNY SHACK! Avant-garde cabaret club nights with drag queens, gender illusionists, dressed-up Klub Kids, transexuals, faces-about-town, and a host of other wild creatures channeling glamorous polysexuality. Watch out for special events, such as ‘Burlesque Ball’ or Beauty Pageants!

Friday is for THE GOOD FOOT! The world-famous DJ Snowboy and his guests spinning vinyl records with original and authentic, floor-shaking vintage black music from it’s most legendary eras! Expect an incomparable feel-good blend of 60s & 70s R&B, Deep Funk, Soul, Boogaloo, Mambo and Rare Groove.
The crowd on those nights is amazing, all colors, shapes and ages. The club is so full, prepare to fight your way through both to the bar and the toilet. Northern Sould Dancers are spinning on the dance floor, breakdancers jump out of the blue to show their latest tricks. The house is shaking.

Saturday is for LOST & FOUND! The famous night by my friend DJ Keb Darge. He’s been running the night for more than 15 years already. Expect music with an attitude – a rockin’ selection of Jump Blues, Northern Soul and Rockabilly to keep you jumping and jiving all night! DJ legends Keb Darge and Andy Smith play raw vinyl treasures from the 50s and 60s. They’re always digging for unknown gems to rock their crowd, who love the raw, original and exciting sounds which inspired all the music you hear today. Btw, Keb used to be a super dancer back in 1970s, and can still do a split. Watch out, kids!

Sunday is for GROOVE SANCTUARY! A four- or five-hour set might gather Deep Soulful House, Broken Beats, Nu-Jazz, Latin and Disco into one fluid mix, but even loyal regulars are often surprised by what tunes get pulled out of the bag. Everything from burlesque to belly-dancing on offer.

DRESS CODE:
There is no dress code. Large parties of men in suits will not be allowed in. Stag/Hen parties will probably not be allowed in. Large parties of women in suits will probably not be allowed in. Usual sort of thing. NB Doormen are quite strict, so don’t come up wasted, too loud or hiding a bottle! They will kick you out (checked…)!

There is no bar food available here, but on certain show nights food can be ordered in advance whilst booking and consists of a platter of snack and party foods. Drinks are quite pricey, but hey, you are in Central London! Enjoy your night!
