Saturday Studio: Lomography Workshops at the Wellcome Collection

On Saturday, August 11th Lomography will be hosting two workshops for 14-19 year olds at the the Wellcome Collection as part of their Saturday Studio sessions. Find out all about their "Teeth" exhibition whilst learning how to take cool close-ups with the Fisheye 2 or Lomo'Instant Wide.

Show Us A Smile with the Lomo’Instant Wide: 2 - 3.30pm at the Wellcome Collection

Lomography UK will show you all the tips and tricks of using the Lomo'Instant Wide which you can test out on yourself, others and on various objects around the Wellcome collection. You’ll learn how to use the close-up lens to get just 10cm away from your subject. Experiment with taking pictures of your teeth, eyes arms and hands. We’ll even show you how to shoot double exposures so you can layer different images up for some unexpected results.

Doors will open for this event 15 minutes before the event starts. Spaces are free but limited and first come, first served. Each workshop has 24 spaces available. Sign-up will open at 13.30 in the Studio.

Fisheye 2 Close up and Doubles: 4 - 5.50pm at the Wellcome Collection

Get a new view of the world with the Fisheye 2. We will show you all the tips and tricks of shooting with this 35mm film camera and you’ll get to shoot up-close and personal to discover some truly distorted perspectives. Shoot crazy close-ups with the Wellcome Collection props from the Teeth exhibition then double them over with a photo of your choice for some unexpected and unusual results.
