Hi, Lalitya! What do you do and what got you started with photography?

Hi, I'm currently working in one of the tech companies in Tokyo. I actually just moved here less than a year ago. About photography, basically this is my old hobby back when I was in university when I studied journalistic major and there I met some friends who also love photography. But then I realized, exploring analogue photography is a cool thing.

How did you discover Lomography and what made you join our analogue Community? Who are your favorite photographers here?

During my college time in my home country Indonesia, I just came to one of Lomography's exhibitions in Bandung as one of my assignments in journalistic class (forgot about the subject). Since that day, I explored more and decided to join the Lomography community in Bandung. By joining this community platform, I feel like reconnecting, also I want to meet the origin habitat for my analogue hobby and share my experience throughout a niche audience. I'm actually new to the Lomography platform, so I'm still exploring and trying to find out my fave artist here. :D

In this day and age, why choose film?

Using film is like always refreshing the excitement of photography. It also teaches me how to manage expectations. Sometimes you can get over your expectations but sometimes it will drag you into disappointment. That's a kind of feeling you can't get with digital tools.

What does a perfect day look like for you?

The day when i can enjoy the sky and sunset.

Name: Anastasia Zapselska
LomoHome: @zapselskaimage
Location: Ukraine, Kharkov

Hi, Anastasia! What do you do and what got you started with photography?

I have two parts of my photographic life: analogue and digital. Digital is for work, but analogue is for myself on this Earth. It's been a part of my life since my childhood. When I looked through my first camera and understood how I can talk with this.

How did you discover Lomography and what made you join our analogue Community? Who are your favorite photographers here?

Lomography was a random search for people who are passionate for analogue, people who understand experiments with film and developing this language.

Because I joined this community recently I haven't found my other favorite photographers yet except for @arseniusanomalius.

What is your favorite subject to photograph? What do you usually look for in a scene before you hit the shutter?

Humans, that's the main subject for me. But before I go for a walk with my camera, I draw some pictures from my dreams and thoughts and try to realize them.

In this day and age, why choose film?

Film for myself is a way to create an unexpected story which has a breath of life.

What does a perfect day look like for you?

Whenever I have an idea is my perfect day.
