I spent 2016 in #東京 #Tokyo and fell in love with the city even more. It is heaven for photographers with amazing museums, galleries, photo-cafes, photographer bars ... along with great people, food, and film cameras galore. I enjoyed teaching two courses for exchange students from the University of Hawaii and elsewhere at J. F. Obirn University in Machida. That five months went far too quickly, but I am sure I will be back.

If these photographic museums were bunched together, I can see me getting lost in the displays, forgetting to eat, not knowing the local time.

@neufotomacher Thanks. I think this was just a small gallery at the Pentax-Ricoh Gallery, but there are amazing Photography Museums, Photography book cafe & bookstore (all in the Ebisu neighborhood), and a JIICA Camera Museum. Also NIKON and Canon have fine museums.

Cool. From the image above it looks like the Asahi, Pentax, Ricoh lines have quite a lineage. The cameras above certainly look classic.

@neufotomacher Yes, Pentax has quite a history. www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/english/pentax/pentaxhistory/

Ricoh too. My first SLR was a Ricoh, although in the US we only knew about Ricoh copiers for the most part.
